Blended Scotch Whisky is a blend of malt and grain whiskies which when combined can give some excellent flavour derivatives. Some of the blends available to buy use a limited number of malts, and others like Johnny Walker Black Label use much more. Historically, blending was used to to make harsh whiskies more palatable but in today’s whisky climate things are different.
