Royal Lochnagar Distillery, just a mile or so along the banks of the River Dee from Balmoral Castle in the East Highlands, earned its royal warrant in 1848 and not much has changed since then.The distillery has some historic and unusual pieces of equipment that contribute to the character of the spirit.
