Glen Scotia 1992 Gordon & MacPhail 'Cask Strength' Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Colour: Rich gold. Tasting notes, undiluted: Nose: Sherrywood with a scented/perfumed note. Touch of freshly ground coffee and a slight chocolate sweetness. Palate: Sherry with sweet, aniseed and liquorice notes. A hint of Earl Grey tea. With water: Nose: Sherry with dark chocolate, floral and dry grass elements. Slight smokiness detectable. Palate: Sweet and cloying, rich sherry notes with aniseed and a slight resinous flavour. Slowly drying with a perfumed, smoky character. Body: Rich - requires a little water to allow flavours and texture to develop. Finish: A touch of sherry. Cask Type: Refill Sherry Hogsheads. Style: Powerful - the distinct distillery character intertwined with a maritime element.
